CRTR LTD is hiring an on-site Junior Web Developer at it’s office in Peterlee, UK. Join a progressive design studio working with a huge variety of clients – no one day will feel the same here. We’re seeking a developer with a strong work ethic and excellent code sensibilities to work creating websites and web applications for clients and our own internal use.

about you.

  • You have a portfolio demonstrating a strong understanding of code fundamentals and an ability to solve problems.
  • You should have a strong competence with HTML, CSS, PHP & JavaScript – anything else is a bonus.
  • You’re familiar with WordPress and editing sites via the wp-admin as well as working on bespoke WordPress applications, ie custom themes and plugins.
  • You should understand version control and working as part team projects
  • You’re eager to continue developing your skills. Knowledge is power!
  • If something isn’t right – it bothers you.

responsibilities.

  • Work directly with clients and staff to define project goals and ensure your solutions reflect what’s found during the discovery process.
  • Define the best method in which to solve problems and execute on them.
  • Build and edit responsive HTML emails, both from scratch and existing internal templates.
  • Build high-quality websites from wireframes and prototypes for internal and external applications.
  • Build backend applications to extend websites functionality, we don’t just create static sites here.
  • Build internal products in project down-time.
  • Keep up on web trends but not be beholden to them. We build custom web products for clients, we’re not looking for someone to mirror something they saw in a theme marketplace.
  • Collaborate with other developers to review and improve your work and the work of others.
  • Work to and manage deadlines.
