Now Hiring: Junior Designer

Location: Peterlee, UK

CRTR LTD is hiring an on-site Junior Designer at it’s office in Peterlee, UK. Join a progressive design studio working with a huge variety of clients from small start-ups to big household names like The Holiday Inn, BWIN and Party Poker – no one day will feel the same here. We’re seeking a designer with a strong work ethic and and excellent eye for design from art-working print design, right up to digital design for the web. We’re not too worried about qualifications, just the right fit for the position.

about you.


  • You have a portfolio demonstrating a strong understanding of design, colour and layout.
  • You should have a strong competence in Adobe’s Creative Suite – anything else, such as Sketch is a bonus.
  • You understand how to set documents up for print, understanding colour spaces, the difference between RGB/CMYK as well as what bleed and crop is.
  • You can look over a brief and gain an understanding as to what the client is looking for, if not, you understand how to speak to clients on a professional level to identify their exact requirements.
  • You’re eager to continue developing your skills. Knowledge is power!
  • If something isn’t right – it bothers you and you have to fix it.

responsibilities.


  • Work directly with clients and staff to define project goals and ensure your solutions reflect what’s found during the discovery process.
  • Define the best method in which to solve problems and execute on them.
  • Design from scratch in Adobe Photoshop and InDesign to create and roll-out artwork from small A7 pieces, right up to 48 sheet billboards.
  • Design with the clients message in mind, don’t let trends get in the way.
  • Collaborate with other designers to review and improve your work and the work of others.
  • Work to and manage deadlines.
